The
MSU/Spencer Research Training Grant (RTG) Program is sponsoring
a competition for small research grants designed to underwrite
some of the costs of research by doctoral students in the
college. We are once again soliciting proposals from individual
doctoral students or groups of students for support of research.
Awards generally range
from $500 to $1,000. Awards will be made by a review committee
made up of doctoral students from the College of Education.
A
request for proposals, which spells out the criteria for awarding
these small research grants, is attached to this letter, along
with the application form. In addition, I have attached a
copy of the evaluation form that reviewers will use in ranking
proposals, in order to show the criteria for selection.
Proposals
for these grants must be submitted to Marian Stoll, RTG program
secretary, 116 Erickson Hall, no later than noon on Friday, March 2, 2007. There
will be another research grant competition in the spring 2008 semester.
The
funds must be used by June 30, 2007.
