Hastings, Alan
Alan Hastings is a first year education policy student. He attended Michigan State University and earned bachelor's degrees in both History and Economics. After graduating, Alan enrolled in Teach for America and spent the next two years teaching in Texas along the Mexican border. He also spent one year working at a charter school in Arkansas. His research interests include how policy affects schools and teachers in rural regions and how funding changes impact the decisions that schools make.
