Brown, Alisha

Alisha Brown is a third year doctoral student in the Educational Policy program. Her research interests include inclusive education policy and practice, and access to quality education for students with disabilities and other marginalized groups. These interests are both domestic and international in scope, with a particular focus on Southern Africa. Alisha in an Erickson Research Fellow and is a research assistant on the Tanzania Partnership Program. Prior to joining the educational policy program, Alisha earned a Masters degree in School Psychology at Michigan State University. During that time she worked as a research assistant on the statewide ASD-Michigan project and taught TE150: Reflections on Learning. Alisha also holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies from the University of Calgary, and has worked with children and adults with disabilities in a variety of school and community settings.
