The Doctoral Option in Literacy is designed to provide depth and breadth of knowledge in literacy education while overlapping with many existing course requirements for CEPSE/LTC and TE/CTEP. That is, students with a doctoral option in literacy will typically need to take few if any additional courses to fulfill the requirements of the Literacy option as well as the requirements of their home department. Literacy faculty can assist you in seeing how a program can be designed to meet both Doctoral Option in Literacy and departmental requirements.
