Kessner Index Percentages: Is a link that provides statistics by state, county, or city on various things such as natality, pregnancy, Birth defects, infant mortality etc.

MSU MDCH Blood Lead Levels Project – This site can give the approximate blood lead level of a child for any address in the state and can be more specific if individual characteristics of the child is known.

Michigan Maternal and Child Health County Profiles: This is a PDF file that has statistics from 1992 to 2002 on maternal and child performance measures.

FIA:
Michigan Family Independence Agency: Is the homepage for programs that are offered both by the state and at the county level for families and children including protective services, food stamps, educational classes and childcare.

FIA Statistics on Program uses such as Food Stamps, Child Care, and Medical Assistance for September 2004 broken down by county

Program Statistics for Michigan: Is a PDF file with information and statistics on food assistance, Child Day Care services, etc. It is the most current report from the FIA in MI.

Early Childhood and Parenting Programs: Is a huge resource for parents and their young children in getting preschoolers ready for school, helping with literacy for the whole family, as well as programs such as Early on that deal with babies and toddlers that may be experiencing developmental difficulties.

CDC:
Center for Disease Control: Is a website that provides the latest on many health issues, such as lead poisoning, birth defects, and disabilities etc.

Kids Count:
Kids Count Census Data: Can be linked to state profiles and then broken down by county: Upon picking your county you can select key features and it will list the different charts available for your county. Things such as age, race, sex, where children live, education etc, are all available based on the 2000 Census.

Michigan League for Human Services: Provides Access to Kids Count Data on a local level as well as more updated information by county. Just click on Kids Count on the left tool bar and select MI Data Book and then select your county to get more specific statistics.
