Master's Programs for International School Educators

Dear Educator:

Beginning Fall Semester 2008, the College of Education at Michigan State University will offer two master’s programs to international school educators. Our online MA in Education (MAED) has a broad set of course offerings across the College's curriculum. Students may select one or two areas of concentration that offer choices such as special education, technology and learning, school leadership, literacy, science and mathematics education, and sport leadership and coaching. Courses are available throughout the year and accessible through widely available technology.

In addition to the MAED program, the college will continue the on-site MA in Educational Technology (MAET) in Plymouth, England. The excellent technology and living facilities at Plymouth provide essential support to offer a quality on-site program in an environment that is highly conducive to face to face learning. Starting Fall Semester 2008, the MAET will be directly administered by the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Special Education.

We've enjoyed working with international school educators and will continue to welcome the international school community into our outreach programs in the future. For educators interested in the broad array of graduate programs offered on campus, we invite you to visit the College’s web site: www.educ.msu.edu. According to US News and World Report Rankings for 2009, we have seven graduate programs ranked in the top ten nationally with two programs ranked first in the nation for fourteen consecutive years.

Sincerely,
