Master’s of Arts students
Candidates in the master's program in rehabilitation
counseling complete a 54 credit hour curriculum. Courses

Students complete their rehabilitation counseling
internships in a variety of settings. Students should select
settings that are compatible with their career interests.

Prior to their first semester, students should begin
working on their program planning form with their advisor.
Prior to meeting with their advisor, students should review
the recommended program sequences in developing their
program planning form. To view recommended sequences for
both part-time and full-time students, as well as obtain a
blank program plan form, students should download the MA
Program Plan Guide.
PhD Students
Students in the Rehabilitation Counselor Education
program complete the following coursework in obtaining
their doctoral degrees. Additional information on these
courses, elective coursework, qualifying exams, and
