The following information is provided to assist students in developing their plans for their graduate programs. Master’s of Arts students

Candidates in the master's program in rehabilitation counseling complete a 54 credit hour curriculum. Courses in the curriculum include:

  • CEP 873 Employment Strategies for Individuals with Disabilities
  • CEP 876 Professional Issues in Rehabilitation Counseling
  • CEP 877 Assessment & Research in Rehabilitation
  • CEP 894A Rehabilitation Counseling Practicum
  • CEP 893A Rehabilitation Counseling Internship

Students complete their rehabilitation counseling internships in a variety of settings. Students should select settings that are compatible with their career interests. Additional information on the program, curriculum, and internship can be found in the Master’s Program Student Handbook.

Prior to their first semester, students should begin working on their program planning form with their advisor. Prior to meeting with their advisor, students should review the recommended program sequences in developing their program planning form. To view recommended sequences for both part-time and full-time students, as well as obtain a blank program plan form, students should download the MA Program Plan Guide.

PhD Students

Students in the Rehabilitation Counselor Education program complete the following coursework in obtaining their doctoral degrees.
