Monica
M. Del Castillo, M.A., L.P.C., C.R.C.
Counselor, Student Services
Lansing Community College
I graduated from the Masters program in Rehabilitation
Counseling MSU in June of 1989. As an undergraduate
I majored in Psychology and had a minor in Spanish.
I am currently employed as a Counselor for students
with disabilities at Lansing Community College
The knowledge base and the skills that I acquired
through this program have allowed me to work in
a variety of environments, performing diverse
tasks (i.e. vocational rehabilitation counselor
- M.R.S., delinquency services worker - F.I.A.,
counselor for students with disabilities - L.C.C.).
As the field of rehabilitation counseling has
grown, so has the occupational name recognition.
Consequently, employment opportunities are endless.
The Rehabilitation Counseling Program is only
as good as your commitment to the learning experience.
As a student, you can mold the program to fit
your professional needs, while maintaining the
integrity of the core learning objectives. That's
not true of all graduate programs.
