Students seeking certification as a reading specialist must complete all three courses in the reading specialist strand plus an elective.

MSU graduates who are not seeking the reading specialist certification may include TE 802 and TE 804 here as components of their specialization.

Students should work together with their advisor to put together an area of specialization that makes sense, given their career goals.

3 Credits ELECTIVE COURSE

The elective may be taken in an area of specialization to form a 9-credit block, or this is a course that may not fit into a specialization, but may be important to a student's career goals.
