David McLaughlin
Ph.D student, College of Education, Michigan State University

David McLaughlin earned a B.Ed. from Queen's University in Canada before traveling internationally to teach science and mathematics in Colombia, Turkey, and Thailand. While in Thailand, he also completed his M.A. in Curriculum and Teaching through MSU's GSEO program. David's research interests include the professional development of preservice science teachers and access to basic educational opportunities by marginalized populations. David's dissertation research focuses on the participation of families from Burma in Thailand's public education system.
