| Research Projects & Staff Timothy Ford Timothy Ford is a doctoral student in the Department of Teacher Education at Michigan State University. His primary research interests include: the education of migrant children and English Language Learners; sociology of education; and social stratification. Before pursuing doctoral study, Tim served as Instructional Specialist/Migrant Recruiter for the Migrant Education and English Language Learning Program (Kansas City Region) under the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Currently, Tim serves as a research assistant on a Hewlett Foundation Study of Instructionally Effective School Districts. Tim received his B.S. in English (Linguistics) from Truman State University and his M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction (with emphasis in Teaching English as a Second Language) from the University of Kansas.
