| Research Projects & Staff Nathan Jones Nathan Jones is a doctoral student pursuing a joint degree in Education Policy and Special Education. Prior to coming to MSU, he graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in political science. He then served as a Teach for America corps member in the Mississippi Delta as a middle school special education teacher. At MSU, Nathan is a University Distinguished Fellow and is involved in the Disability and Diversity Scholars Program--a fellowship and research group with a special emphasis on disability and diversity in urban settings. Nathan has research interests in teacher induction and retention and in the overrepresentation of minority students in special education.
