Zhou, Yisu
After earned his undergraduate degree in Statistics in China, Yisu Zhou went to a rural middle school in Shanxi Province, western China for a year to voluntarily teach. During that period of time, he developed an interest to understand how the changing goals of educational policy make an impact on rural student's life. He came to MSU in 2006 to study at Measurement and Quantitative Measurement program in College of Education. He confirmed his interest in educational development and began looking into it from a comparative perspective. Recently, Yisu's research utilized statistical models to examine large scale dataset. Recently he has been participating research project to use TIMSS data exploring the relationship between student achievement and school resources.
