Kamila
Rosolová came to MSU in 2001 after a year of traveling,
free-lancing as an interpreter in Prague, Czech Republic, and
working for a film company. In the years prior, Kamila was working
on her Master’s degree which she earned in a five-year program in
Filozofická fakulta, Univerzita Karlova, Praha in a combination of
two disciplines: Educational Studies (specializing in educational
counseling) and English Translation Studies (specializing in
interpreting). Her long-term interests include foreign languages,
foreign language teaching and learning, comparative and
international education, teaching practices and educational
change. In her dissertation, Kamila is pursuing one of these
interests by focusing on recent educational reforms in the Czech
Republic. Outside of school, she enjoys music, films and books.
Kamila is a big fan of Ian MacKaye, Henry Rollins, PJHarvey, Iva
Bittová, Krystof Kieslowski and her Chilean husband Gaston, who is
a classical pianist.
