Pogodzinski, Ben

Ben Pogodzinski is a fourth-year doctoral student in MSU's Educational
Policy Program. His research focus is on teacher quality policy and teacher
labor markets. In particular, he is interested in the effects that
labor-management relations and labor contracts have on teacher commitment to the profession. Prior to coming to MSU, Ben was a social studies teacher in Michigan for two years and received a Master's Degree in public policy from Georgetown University and a bachelor's degree from the University of
Michigan. While living in Washington, D.C., he was able to gain work
experience concerning education policy, which greatly relates to his current
interests in the program.
