Danielle
Lesure is a doctoral student conducting research on mayoral
involvement in education. Supported by a Competitive Doctoral
Enrichment Fellowship, Danielle has interned for Michigan Governor
Jennifer Granholm’s Administration. She worked in Washington D.C.
as a fellow at the U.S. Conference of Mayors. Danielle began her
dissertation research on mayoral involvement in education. She
enjoys volunteering as a reading buddy in local schools, writing
poetry, and listening to neo-soul in her spare time.
