1. Our students and faculty have achieved a great deal during recent monthsÉsome examples:

  • All five of the students who applied for internship were matched again this year! Congratulations!
  • Our students were well represented at the 2003 Great Lakes Counseling Psychology Conference, which was held at Western Michigan University.
    Presentations included:
    • Elif Celebi, Kristen Kish, Kristin Humphrey, and Jame Lontz: Five domains of multicultural counseling psychology.
    • Kristen Kish: Intersection of career development, multiculturalism, and spirituality.
    • Pei Hsu: Acculturation and family conflicts among Chinese immigrant families.
    • Kristin Humphrey: Multiculturalism in health psychology.
    • Janet Kinney: Integration of psychotherapy and Christianity.
    • J. D. Lee and Thad Strom: Making a difference: ÔRaceÕ is not culture!
    • Jame Lontz: Review of resilience: A multicultural perspective.
  • A number of students are also looking for ward to attending the 2004 Great Lakes conference, which will be held at Ball State University. Kristen Kish and K. Renn will be presenting LGBT identity development and leadership development: qualitative research.
  • One of our students, Anne Kubal, has been nominated for the CCPTP Outstanding Graduate Student Award.
