    • Clinical practice and managed care; mood disorders among women of color; adult learner relationships in school settings
    • Dr. Gunning's primary responsibility involves recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups within the College of Education.

    • Career development (especially of racial-ethnic populations); short-term counseling and therapy; stress management and anxiety reduction; effective delivery systems for mental health services; psychology of religion and the Black Church; factors affecting graduation and retention rates of students
    • Dr. June's major assignment is as Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, and Assistant Provost for Academic Student Services and Multicultural Issues, so he has limited his involvement in the Counseling Psychology program to some advising (including dissertation committees) and program support activities.

  • Jean Claude Dutes, Adjunct Professor
    He received his Ph.D. from MSU in 1985. His main position is Psychology Section Leader, Dept. of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, College of Osteopathic Medicine, MSU. His areas of interest are psychological adjustment to chronic illness and disability, cross cultural neuropsychological assessment, and geriatric psychology.
