My
master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling at
MSU led me to a career in Cardiac Rehabilitation,
including a position as Senior Health Educator
with the Michigan Public Health Institute's Resource
Center for Cardiovascular Health. Now I am the
President and founder of Wisdom to Wellness, through
which I work as a health promotion consultant,
presenter, exercise specialist, and Licensed Professional
Counselor. I hold teaching appointments at M.S.U.
as an Adjunct Professor in the Departments of
Kinesiology, Telecommunications and in the Department
of Psychiatry with the two Medical schools. I
also do extensive volunteer work with the American
Heart Association and was a past Chairman of the
state of Michigan's Board of Trustees. The governor
of Michigan appointed me to the Chronic Disease
Advisory Committee where I co-chaired the Cardiovascular
Disease committee, which wrote the state plan
for Promoting Cardiovascular Health in Michigan.
