Dr.
Timothy Tansey, Assistant Professor, joined the
program in 2005. Formerly he was an Assistant Professor
at Utah State University where he worked from 2001-2005.
Dr. Tansey is a 2001 graduate of the Rehabilitation
Psychology Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
He has developed a coherent, programmatic line of
research in the area of rehabilitation counseling
with persons with mental illness, particularly in
relation to the vocational assessment issues with
this population. He has a very strong record of
publication and paper presentations at the national
level for someone at this early stage of his career.
Dr. Tansey has experience in teaching both with
traditional courses and with a distance education
format. Additionally, he has a wealth of technology
experience, and has a substantial amount of clinical
experiences, particularly with mental health populations.
In addition to the appropriate rehabilitation counseling
credentials, he is a licensed psychologist in the
state of Utah. Dr.Tansey has also been very active
in professional service
